Please sign our guestbook!!

Stan and I have begun training with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program. On June 6, we will once again cycle 100 miles around Lake Tahoe. Last year the Illinois Chapter sent the largest team to this event. Even more impressive is the more than $350,000 raised by the Illinois team, of which all of your donations were a part. Thank you for your continued support through donations, company matching programs, baby-sitting, prayers and encouragement.

This year our Patient Honoree is Will Cray of Lindenhurst, IL. In March of 2003, Will was diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia. This type of cancer used to require a bone marrow transplant for a cure. Will is in remission following six months of treatment with the new drug Gleevec. A large part of the research done on Gleevec was funded through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – your donations! As always, we will also ride in memory of Stan’s dad, Robert Lemberger, our personal reason for becoming involved with Team in Training. Since our involvement we have learned the stories of so many others whose lives have been affected by leukemia or other cancer and it continues to affect those close to us. We will ride in memory and honor of them as well.

Our goal once again is to raise $10,000 towards patient care and research for a cure. If you are interested in donating, just click on donate, print, fill out and send the form as directed.
Whatever you are able to give counts! Your donation is 100% tax deductible. Please check with your company to see if they will match your gift, as it can double or even triple your contribution. Last year your employers’ contributions totaled nearly $3000.
